Spreading Christmas Cheer

This year we decided to make Christmas goodies for our friends and neighbors.... it was mass baking day at our house! We tried lots of new recipes....

Some worked out fantastic and tasted awesome......

and others we crashed and burned! We learned that you can over melt Chocolate chips....
and it turnes into a lumpy mess rather than a nice smooth topping! Poor Kevin had to run to the store in the snow to replace the ones we burned! But it was sure fun tasting all the final products! And we have some great new recipes for fudge if anyone wants them!

Sayler is 1 month old

We can hardly believe our sweet baby is one month old. Time sure flies. We went to church for the first time today. She was so good... slept through the whole sacrament meeting.
Sometimes there is a price to pay for fashion.... a little discomfort!

Already Sayler loves a binky.... we decided it is better than her thumb which she sucked for 9 months prior! At least we can take it away to break the habit.

It is so fun to watch all her facial expressions! She is becoming more aware everyday.

This is the same outfit Sayler wore home from the hospital.... only now it fits!

Sayler hates it when you disturb her nap for any reason! Especially for pictures....

Our Reason for the Season

This year as Kevin and I don't have alot of extra money to join the consumer race for gifts we have been able to reflect on the gifts and blessings we have already been given this year. We count our blessings daily for eachother and for our new little daughter Sayler. We couldn't ask for anything more. When asked what I wanted for Christmas this year it has been hard to come up with anything. I have a wonderful husband who takes such good care of us... even does the dishes everyday helping me keep my kitchen clean, and a beautiful daughter that lets me get at least 4 hours of sleep at a time! We truly have been blessed with many miracles this year and know the Lord has been watching over us. So this year we are truly grateful for the gifts that count: eternal families, the gospel and especially our Savior who made all things possible. Thanks to our loving parents who have been such a great example and taught us from our youth what is right. We loved this slide show of the life of our Savior, enjoy and Merry Christmas everyone!

Sayler and Daddy

This is Sayler's favorite place to snuggle... on her daddy's chest. It doesn't matter if she starts at the shoulder, she'll wiggle her way down to the same spot every time!
Sometimes after daddy puts her to sleep he's out too!
Sayler loves her dad! Even this young she gets excited when he spends some time with her. Already we can tell she is a quality timer and needs her dad to look at her and talk to her... Good Luck to Dad as he has 2 quality time women in the house!!!
In the early mornings after she is fed and changed Sayler often goes downstairs to work with Kevin so I can get some uninterrupted sleep! She'll fall asleep with dad anywhere!

This is Sayler's favorite place to sleep. I don't blame her... I like cuddling with Kevin too!

Sayler's first Christmas Party_Day 18

This is the first day that Sayler has left the house. She had a doctors appointment in the morning, and the doctor said that she is in perfect health. Then we dressed her up in one of her Christmas dresses and took her to the Rotary Christmas party, where of course she was the main attraction. Once she was awake and out of the carrier mom and dad didn't get her back until it was time to go home!!! Thanks to her aunt Julie she has all the accessories a girl could ever need!

Sayler in Sunday Dress_Day 17

Mommy dressed Sayler for Church today in her cousin's dress. This cute dress was given to Sayler by her cousin Ameliah, who picked out some of her best clothes to give to her cousin that hasn't even met yet. Thank you Julie and Ameliah, she looked so cute on Sunday! While we didn't actually go to church because Sayler is still too young it was fun to dress her up anyway! Now if I could just get myself dressed up!

Daddy take pictures of Sayler everyday, but some days she just does not want to cooperate
"No more pictures please, I am done"
